Drew Kent’s ‘Glamourpuss’ collection debuts at Manchester Fashion Week
The Friday 11th September Fashion Week crowd at Versa Studios Manchester got the very first look into Liverpool fashion designer Drew Kent’s latest knitwear collection.

After teasing at the collection for the last month, Liverpool born knitwear designer Drew Kent finally showcased his 16 look collection for the very first time at Manchester Fashion Week last night and the Destined Magazine team were lucky enough to attend…
The Central Saint Martins Graduate took dopamine dressing to a whole new level with the runway show titled ‘GlamourPuss’ as part of a collaboration with King Cole Yarns.
Every single look had us questioning if our wardrobes were both colourful and big enough, but incase you missed it, Destined has the collection rundown…
Look One:
The runway opened up with a quilted gown look made from the exact fabric which was teased on the show poster lined with royal blue fluffed yarn.
Look two:
A coral pink dress which was coated in a transparent foil-scratch like fabric with designs which reflected gold as the dress was moved down the runway and hit with spotlights - with neck to forearm ruffles hemmed with peachy pink fluffed yarn.
Look three & seven:
A royal blue 2 piece set featuring a dressing gown like jacket and midi skirt both tufted to the max at the exaggerated hem (similar to the hot pink mini 2 piece with the same detailing).
Look four:
A floral bonnet and trouser co ord look broken up by an oversized, voluminous bouquet of pink ruffles lined with baby pink yarn.
Look five:
A purple and baby pink knit bolero cardigan tied-together (quite literally) with an oversized pussy bow ever so covering the baby pink front which resembles an animated cat’s belly, paired with a cord coral maxi skirt which was Drew Kent-ed with the perfect use of textured yarn shapes - ok this one I NEED.
Look six:
Another royal blue two piece, but this time a belted jacket and knee-length shorts with the most perfect light blue jacquard patterned fabric, and coated head-to-toe in baby pink pom poms.
Look eight:
A coral pink cord midi dress paired with a curtain-like fluffed yarn bolero and matching yarn handbag - the peaches, oranges and pinks on this one are insane!
Look nine:
A longline pink jacket with matching bonnet embellished with bow-like shapes of baby pink yarn .
Look ten:
A top made entirely from royal blue PVC crafted into sleeves of ruffles and paired with trousers using the collections signature patterned fabric and a matching royal blue fluffed yarn bag.
Look eleven:
An exaggerated shoulder crocheted jacket with dark and baby pinks, either a Cheshire Cat or Bagpuss reference, ending in a dark pink, yarn fringe just above the knee
Look twelve:
A royal blue yarn poncho hemmed with baby pink yarn and covered in baby pink bows.
Look thirteen:
A dreamy, floating ballerina look with a baby pink glittery crocheted long-sleeve jumper and an arched, holographic PVC ruffle tutu
Look fourteen:
A hot pink structured asymmetrical jacket look hemmed with royal blue fluffed yarn and paired with a maxi, royal blue, fringe skirt
Look fifteen:
A glittery floral fabric made into a robe-like jacket with oversized ruffles bursting out from under the belt lined with a baby pink fluffy yarn.
Look sixteen:
Closing the runway with possibly the biggest look in size, an oversized, ruffled baby pink pussy bow blouse on top of a coral cord jumpsuit covered in pompoms and lined in the same shade of royal blue fluffed yarn used throughout the collection.
Each piece paired with a beautiful handmade yearn headpiece, heels and loafers which harmonised seamlessly with the outfit being presented - I do feel that the shoes deserve their own piece!
Being even bigger and better than any previous collections we’ve seen from Drew Kent, we didn’t realise that bigger and better was even an option yet he continues to raise the bar.
My only complaint? That this was debuted in Manchester and not Liverpool, but I suppose we’ll have to wait to see what Friday has in store…
And, Drew Kent, you’re exactly the designer that you think you are.
